When and where:

Friday 9th October 2026
9am - 11am
Aberdeen Country Park

Activity:

Fire & Popcorn - After a short welcome chat and BYG safety briefing, we'll set off into the park in search of the perfect BBQ site. The kids will learn all about fire safety and how to make a fire - collecting and sorting sticks, constructing the fire, and lighting it using our special BYG fire torches. As the fire burns down, we'll work together to hold our metal cage full of corn kernels over the coals, trying to find the perfect heat spot to watch the corn POP! Once it's ready, we'll enjoy some tasty campfire popcorn!

What to bring:

Please send the kids wearing trainers with good grip (please no crocs, water shoes or rain boots) with a small backpack containing a water bottle, small snack and insect repellent.  Then depending on the weather, don't forget hats and sun cream when sunny and a raincoat if wet.

Further details including a google link to the exact meeting point will be sent out once registration is complete. All other info will be sent out via the WhatsApp group which will be the main form of communication where we will share any updates as well as a video at the end of the session so you can see the kids in action!
